This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
This course will help you understand

It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will have covered & passed assessments on the following;
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and the responsibilities of the employer, employee and self employed
- Have a basic understanding of emergency procedures – first aid and fire, health risks and welfare. working at height and PPE
- Have a basic understanding of hazardous substances and environmental waste protection and control, manual handling, electrical safety, hand tools and equipment
- Have a basic understanding of the effects that noise vibration and site transport have on individuals and the environment
- Have a basic understanding of excavations, inspections, transport safety
Those working on construction sites need to be competent when operating plant and machinery and be aware of the health and safety of others around them. Through competency, they lower the risk to themselves and others on the site allowing them to work more safely. Successfully completing a specific CPCS training course related to their job role and requirements, enables them to be competent onsite and undertake all work safely.
